Saturday, Sept. 22 was the first day of fall; others like to call it pumpkin spice season. But, do not forget the apple cider lovers.
If you do not know what the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte is, Starbucks is one of many places to offer this beverage during the fall.
According to the Starbucks website,“Our signature espresso and milk are highlighted by flavor notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove to create this incredible beverage that's a fall favorite. Enjoy it topped with whipped cream and real pumpkin pie spices.”
But, for those who do not love pumpkin spice lattes, there is the classic apple cider. Starbucks has the Caramel Apple Spice drink, which is not as popular.
Kimberly Sibilia, a Starbucks barista, explained that pumpkin seems to be much more popular this season.
“The pumpkin drinks get ordered everyday, whereas the apple drinks get ordered every once in a while,” Sabilia said.
Although the fall drinks are everywhere during the fall season, many stores also have an array of different fall-themed candles, soaps, lotions, and even fragrances.
Katie Zuccarini, a local college student, likes both autumn favorites.
“My favorite fall scent would definitely have to be pumpkin because it’s warm and comforting, it just feels like fall.” Zuccarini said. “But, my favorite fall drink would be apple flavored things because they are more zesty and spicy, where pumpkin isn’t as good to me.”
The battle of pumpkin vs apple might go on all season, but it is your decision.
