“Sammy G: The Musical” a nostalgic nod to the Samaritan Gardens legacy

March 26, 2018

After the news settled in that Samaritan Gardens residence hall, affectionately known as Sammy G, would soon be demolished to make room for the neighboring Bristol condominiums, Resident Director Taylor Smythe had the idea to write a completely original musical in honor of Sammy G’s legacy. The show was written by Smythe and Samaritan Gardens ARD Jake Graybill, with 12 original songs written and composed by both Smithe and Tim DeMoss, a Samaritan Gardens RA. The one-night showing was Friday night in the Vera Lea Rinker Hall.
