Palm Beach Atlantic women’s basketball lost their first home game to the Embry-Riddle Eagles with a final score of 60-74.
The PBA Sailfish lead strong 35-28 by the end of the first half. Senior Hannah Grim lead in scoring for the first half with 19 points.
In the third quarter, the Eagles started to push back harder starting to lead with PBA scoring 11 and the Eagles scoring 24. The Eagles continued to outscore the Sailfish in the fourth quarter as well.
Although the Sailfish did not get the outcome they wanted, they are looking at what they can improve on for the future.
“There is a lot to learn from the first home game of the season. Everyone on the team has areas they can improve in and it is up to us to get better and be able to all be playing to out full potential to win together. One of the main areas we need to focus on is defense and helping each other on the defensive end,” Grim said.
Grim hopes that the team can work together to win more games this season compared to their last.
Their next game is at Florida Southern College on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
