Free holiday events in Palm Beach County

November 13, 2017

The holidays can be a stressful time for everyone, especially students. Not only does the season mark the end of a semester, it also brings with it family obligations, travel, and additional expenses. Thankfully, Palm Beach Atlantic University students can take their mind off the stress and have some fun at some of the many free holiday events Palm Beach County offers.

Worth Avenue Christmas Tree Lighting

On Dec. 1, the esteemed Worth Avenue will host its tree lighting from 6-9 p.m. along with a holiday parade.  The tree will light up for the first time this season at 6:29 p.m.

Snowfall in CityPlace

While students enjoy the selection of stores and restaurants in CityPlace, they can also experience snowfall every night until Dec. 31. These “snowfalls” occur at various times each evening.

Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade

The perfect mix of tropical fun and holiday cheer, the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade will feature boats decked in their seasonal best on the night of Dec. 5. The parade will travel from North Palm Beach to the Jupiter Lighthouse.

Ugly Holiday Sweater Haul

On Dec. 12, students can throw on their ugliest holiday sweaters and head to downtown West Palm Beach to score deals on food and drinks at local restaurants from 2-9 p.m.
